The Diamond Bridge Team

David & Marilyn are probably Britain's best known tournament directing couple. They have been married for 37 years and have two sons, both bridge players, the younger of whom represented Great Britain in the European Championships in 1999.

They learnt to play bridge together when they were "courting" 40 years ago at their Teachers' Centre in Coventry. Both taught in Coventry for 30 years before taking early retirement in 1990.

David then concentrated on bridge as a career and in 1993 he took over the running of Hilton Bridge Weekends and now he and Marilyn (who is also an EBU Tournament Director) have a full programme running those events plus EBU tournaments and bridge holidays.

Their main other interest is golf where David is very keen, and Marilyn merely fanatical!
